From 1991: Managing Director of the Nehlsen subsidiaries in the new federal states of Germany.

From 1995 until 2001: Managing Director and shareholding Partner of Nehlsen GmbH & Co. KG.

Since 2001: Chairman of Nehlsen AG.

Between 2004 and November 2008 president of the federation of the German waste management industry.

Since 2006: Member of the steering committee of the BDI (Federation of German Industries).

From September 2009 until June 2011: Managing Director of Nehlsen GmbH & Co. KG.


Other activities:
Sits on the supervisory board of several German companies.
